SwissWatt One AG Launches 510-Watt Solar Module with 40-Year Warranty

The new 510 Watt Swiss solar module from SwissWatt One AG is here: The latest generation of the DAVOS series achieves a peak output of 510 watts — combined with an industry-unique 40-year product and performance guarantee. With this, the company based in Balgach, Canton St. Gallen, is setting a new standard for performance and longevity in the European solar market.

What the 510 Watt solar module in Switzerland can do

With its new generation, the DAVOS series achieves an efficiency of up to 24.6% %. This is made possible by state-of-the-art n-type TOPCon cell technology, which significantly reduces charge carrier losses compared to conventional PERC cells and ensures lower power degradation over the entire service life.

The bifacial glass-glass design also allows for the use of reflected light on the rear side of the module. Depending on the surface and mounting method, yield increases of 5 to 15% are possible compared to standard monofacial modules—a factor that is particularly relevant for flat-roof and ground-mounted systems.

40-Year Warranty – What That Specifically Means

While the industry standard is 25 years, SwissWatt One AG grants a warranty period of 40 years on all DAVOS modules — covering both product and performance guarantees:

• Product Guarantee: 40 years of protection against material defects and manufacturing flaws
• Performance guarantee: Minimum output of 88.85 % of the rated power after 40 years
• Degradation rate A maximum of 0.4 % per year — below the industry average of 0.5–0.7 %

The warranty is granted directly by SwissWatt One AG as a Swiss company. Stocks are held in Switzerland, allowing for replacement deliveries within a few days, not weeks.

Independently tested: SPF, OST, and TÜV Rheinland

All performance and quality specifications of the DAVOS modules have been tested and certified by independent institutes:

Hail class 4 - certainly also in extreme weather

The new DAVOS ULTRA is certified according to VKF HW4 (hail resistance class 4) and can withstand hailstones up to 40 mm in diameter – that's 5.5 times the IEC basic standard. For locations in alpine regions with an increased risk of hail, the DAVOS ULTRA ALPIN with hail class HW5 is available, the highest achievable value in the series segment worldwide.
